Any one connecting to the BGC network should do so with intent of cooperation and interoperability. Requests For Comments published by the Internet Engineering Task Force are the main source of standards which must be followed for the Internet to be secure and for it to work.
Permission is here by granted for you to access our WWW pages and our email system in accordance with these standards and the balance of this document. All other use is prohibited.
These terms of use apply to any of the 16 IP addresses of the BGC Internet network: 202.189.69.144/28. This includes the following Internet domains:

E-mail is one area where standards compliance is absolutely necessary.
Particular attention should be paid to RFCs 1035 and 2821.
BGC www sites should contain W3C XHTML 1.0, HTML 4.01, HTML 3.2 or HTML 2.0, and with or without CSS 2.1 or 1.0. They may also include JavaScript or Java.
It is also a requirement that BGC sites produce usable content with any standards compliant browser such as Lynx to permit access to our sites by the disabled.
Should any BGC site fail in these requirements then this should be reported to the webmaster. If this is not possible then see contact numbers for reporting of e-mail problems.
WWW access of server side scripts is limited to use by WWW forms with correct input (as requested by the WWW form) or book marked URIs produced by the these forms with correct input and with no modification.
All of our WWW content is subject to copyright. Requests for content, code or scripts should be directed to Andrew Buckeridge where a licence has not otherwise been granted.
The BGC email system is provided to facilitate communication with our business partners. We will not accept our email system being rendered useless by allowing it to be stuffed with useless email.
You may only use the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol as defined in RFC 2821 when using the BGC email service.
Reckless impairment of electronic communications via a telecommunications service is an offence. This could include using non-SMTP with our SMTP email service.
There is a procedure that should be followed if you are having difficulty sending email.
This should be sent to BGC via facsimile marked "Mail Administrator" without delay.
We are happy to assist where this information is provided.
The BGC IT department facsimile is +61 (0)8 93344660.
The BGC Canning Vale facsimile is +61 (0)8 93344501.
I can be contacted by telephone directly on +61 (0)8 93344925.
If request is urgent I can be contacted after hours via facsimile +61 (0)8 92846011.
If you have an automated reply then this should be faxed too. This usually has an excerpt of the SMTP session that failed. (A permanent error 5XX or a long list of soft errors 4XX.)
If you can get the headers with return path and trace information then you should fax this too.
The Received lines are especially important for debugging.
The BGC mail server is operated in the state of Western Australia and is afforded protection under Australian Commonwealth law against unauthorised use via a telecommunications service (the Internet).
