An apprenticeship or traineeship offers you a career pathway that combines formal study with on-the-job-training. An Australian Apprenticeship (more commonly known simply as an apprenticeship or traineeship) is a fantastic way to gain a nationally recognised qualification, learn new skills and earn money at the same time.

There are so many benefits to choosing an apprenticeship or traineeship with many future employers across a range of industries looking for quality, hands-on experience.

Our Apprenticeship Program

As an apprentice, it’s important to remember that you have an important role in day-to-day operations. As such, a few of your responsibilities will include:

  • Working to the best of your ability to complete any tasks assigned to you.
  • Understanding workplace policies and procedures to help you and others to keep safe and healthy on the job.
  • Being punctual and reliable at all times, including letting your employer know as early as possible if you can’t make it to work due to illness or a family emergency.
  • Participation in your ongoing training (such as a TAFE course), which is a requirement of completing your apprenticeship/traineeship.

Traineeships

Trainees play an important role within BGC Housing Group Trades.

Trainees are involved in day to day operations and work closely with other members in their trades team. A traineeship allows you to study for a certificate qualification and on average, it take people 1 to 2 years to complete.

If you’re ready to see where a traineeship could take you, we’re ready to help you make it happen.
