Congratulations to the 18 BGC Cement employees who recently completed their Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. The team undertook the course as a part of BGC’s latest training and development initiatives.
BGC CEO, Daniel Cooper, joined the successful graduates in a celebratory morning tea held at BGC Cement headquarters, where he recognised the importance of training and development in our industry.
“Safety is at the forefront of our business operations. These training initiatives continue to up-skill our workforce and improve our overall safety culture,” he said.
With an original goal to have at least one person from each department complete the Certificate IV, BGC Cement employees truly exceeded expectations.
Derek Houareau, General Manager at BGC Cement, said “we were delighted with the level of commitment displayed by our team. As a result of this initiative, we now have several employees pursuing their Diploma in Work Health and Safety.”
BGC’s training and development programs are designed to ensure BGC employees maintain best practice standards and align with industry accreditation.
In a market where reliability is at the core, BGC is proud to have a high level of commitment to creating a safe and dependable workplace.
At the core of BGC is our team. Investment in our development and safety culture is at the utmost importance, and a huge attributor to our success.
Congratulations to all the participants who successfully completed their Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety!
