Congratulations to the team at BGC Construction, who were successfully awarded the $39 million contract for construction of a new Perth based aged care facility, Opal Applecross Shore.
The new state-of-the-art aged care precinct will become home to 139 residents requiring aged care support. The building will feature a three-levels, four companion rooms and a memory support neighbourhood to care for people living with dementia.
Located on the pristine Swan River foreshore, the Applecross based project is due to commence construction on 26 June 2021, with an estimated projected completion date of 17 December 2021.
Facilities at Applecross Shore’s care community include various living and dining areas, a welcome area, service entry, a commercial kitchen and laundry, hair and beauty salon, café and a dedicated wellness centre providing rehabilitation services.
Externally, the new development will feature landscaped gardens, ample parking, shaded outdoor courtyards and balconies.
The Applecross Shore Care precinct marks the third project BGC is completing for Opal following on from the successful completion of Opal Carine and Opal Alfred Cove.
