BGC Precast have recently expanded their product range to enter the civil and infrastructure market including post tensioned elements, water tank walls and heavy buttress panels, after completing a handful of successful projects.

The team is working on the Sleeman River Bridge Project for Main Roads WA, where they are currently constructing the bridge beam decks. The manufacturing process of the 22 metre long precast beams each weighing 21 tonnes involves a high level of detailing and consideration across various stages. The post tension facilities feature an innovative design with a twin mould system that requires minimum upkeep, to maximise efficiency. The cumulation of the production process, a comprehensive pre and post pour checklist and a 360-degree inspection report form the project specific quality management system.

By implementing strong manufacturing processes and utilising the huge 8-hectare Precast facility for storage, this aids the team to work effectively and efficiently on these large-scale projects with limited impact on other operations.

Congratulations to the BGC Precast team and the invaluable efforts of product specialists, supervisors, and managers!
