Working in partnership with local communities
At BGC, our commitment to sustainability also includes the connections and partnerships we develop within the wider community. We support a wide range of organisations that help to bring people together and develop lasting relationships.
SEDA College
BGC in partnership with SEDA College WA launched a new Construction and Trade program to provide WACE and VET qualifications to Year 11 and 12 students. Enabling students to gain practical and industry knowledge will allow them to develop key skills that are essential for gaining employment in the industry.
Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC WA)
BGC is a sponsor of RMCH WA Adopt A Room, which offers supported accommodation for WA families with seriously ill children. This vital support allows families to stay together during lengthy hospital stays or treatments, helping alleviate financial and emotional burdens whenever possible.
FISH Aboriginal Home Ownership Initiative
BGC is proud to be on board as a partner of the FISH Aboriginal Home Ownership Initiative. This initiative is breaking intergenerational cycles of poverty for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through increasing the rates of home ownership.
FISH’s focus is not the provision of social housing, but rather sustainable home ownership which is a fundamental building block to breaking intergenerational cycles of poverty.
West Perth Women’s Football Club
BGC Housing Group sponsors the Indigenous program at the West Perth Women’s Football Club, offering talented women the opportunity to pursue a career in football. The scholarship covers fees, uniforms, events, coaching, development, and strength conditioning for players, and is the first scholarship of its kind in WA.
Industry Association
Over many years BGC have formed strong associations with other organisations in the building and construction industry and beyond. These associations provide wider benefits to the BGC business units and community.
